Mark Ruffalo Thanks Fans For ‘Support’ Following Brother’s Death

Mark Ruffalo and his family are speaking out about the tragic death of Scott Ruffalo, who died Monday night, the same day one of the suspects arrested in connection to Scott’s death has been released.

“Mark Ruffalo and his family deeply appreciate the outpouring of prayers and support during this most difficult time of the passing of Scott Ruffalo, beloved son, brother and husband,” a rep for the actor said in a statement released to Access Hollywood.

“The funeral service will be private. A memorial fund has been established in Scott Ruffalo’s name,” the statement continued.

On Wednesday, Shaha Mishaal Adham, who police had arrested in connection to the shooting of Scott, was cleared of any wrongdoing and released from police custody, the Associated Press reported.

Adham’s attorney said he provided evidence to investigators that proved she did not shoot the hairdresser.

Her attorney claimed that Adham witnessed a game of Russian Roulette and that Scott’s gunshot wound was self-inflicted

As previously reported by AccessHollywood.com, Scott clung to life for a week after being shot in the head in the early hours of December 1.

In remembrance, the family has set up a fund in Scott’s name. Donations can be sent to:
