Maroon 5’s James Valentine On ‘Ernie Ball: The Pursuit Of Tone’ Exclusive Sneak Peek!

“Ernie Ball: The Pursuit of Tone” focuses its next
episode on Maroon 5’s James Valentine, and AccessHollywood.com has an exclusive
sneak peek.

In the clip, James shares what it felt like when Maroon 5
won the Best New Artist Grammy in 2005.

“It still seems like a dream,” he says in the clip. “We
were not favored to win. We figured Kanye West, who was also nominated – he was
going to win, so when they announced our name, it was genuine shock.

“That whole night was so magical, and it really felt like after that night that we had arrived,” he adds.

James also shared stories from making the band’s second LP, “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long,” in a house in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles, after their Best New Artist Grammy win.
