Mary J. Blige Sends Congrats To Jay-Z, Beyonce

While neither Beyonce nor Jay-Z are apparently ready to comment on their reported wedding, fellow music superstar Mary J. Blige offered the couple some well wishes on-stage in North Carolina on Saturday night.

Just one day after the reported New York nuptials, Jay-Z traveled to Greensboro, N.C., with co-headliner Mary J. Blige, for the latest stop on the “Heart of the City” tour.

And while it was business as usual for Jay-Z, who made no mention of a wedding and performed without wearing a ring, Mary J. did reportedly offer up what appeared to be a very telling message.

“Congratulations to my man, Jay-Z, and my girl B,” Mary J. reportedly told the sold-out house before kicking off her set with “You’re All I Need.”

Meanwhile, there was only one mention of his lady love from Jay-Z. As he was in the midst of performing his set, a few notes of Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love” blasted through the speakers, before being quickly cut off.

“Sorry , B,” Jay-Z told the audience.

However, this is something the rap impresario does during nearly every show.

And while the couple has remained mum on the wedding topic, a source told People the wedding happened on Friday night.

“It happened earlier this evening,” the source told People late Friday. “Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close family and friends.”

The powerhouse couple reportedly followed their private ceremony with a star-studded reception, which included Destiny Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, Beyonce’s mom Tina, sister Solange, as well as celeb friends like Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin.

Jay-Z and Beyonce have been together since 2002, and have long remained quiet on their relationship.

Reps for both of the artists have also yet to confirm the wedding.
