Matt Bomer: Lady Gaga ‘Worked So Hard’ On ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ Role

Matt Bomer returns to the “American Horror Story” fold on Wednesday night, as Hotel Cortez resident Donovan, the lover of Lady Gaga’s The Countess.

The actor first began working with the pop superstar over the summer as filming on the latest installment of the FX series commenced. On the red carpet over the weekend, at the premiere of the new season, Matt raved about his co-star.

“She is one of the most incredible people I’ve ever met in my life,” Matt told Access Hollywood on Saturday night. “She’s so intelligent, so kind, so funny, so approachable, and she brought so much work to the table. She worked so hard on this role and she’s one of my favorite actresses I’ve ever worked with and I’m lucky to call her a friend.”

Gaga’s The Countess owns Hotel Cortez, and Donovan is her handsome paramour, but they have a wicked side. They crave blood (Ryan Murphy previously told Entertainment Weekly, the characters have an “ancient blood virus”).

Fans will have to wait until Wednesday to see the pair on screen, but when asked for one word to describe Donovan hooking up with The Countess, Matt had a fun reply.

“Everything,” he said, with a laugh.

“American Horror Story: Hotel” premieres Wednesday at 10/9c on FX.
