Matthew McConaughey Marries Camila Alves

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves have made their union official!

After six years and two children together, the couple tied the knot in Austin, Texas on Saturday evening, Matthew’s rep told People.

Wedding guests included Woody Harrelson and writer/director Richard Linklater, Us Weekly reports.

“There were about 100 of [Matthew’s] close friends and family there,” a wedding guest told Us of the “high-end,” campout-themed soiree. “[The ceremony] was very emotional. There was a moment when . . . [Matthew] leaned down and whispered something in [Camila’s] ear and you could see a tear coming down her face. Everyone let out a collective sigh.”

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to extend the party by camping out in state-of-the-art tents set up on the “Magic Mike” star’s property.

“It’s definitely a campground, but they weren’t exactly roughing it,” a source told Us. “They have showers, restrooms, and air conditioning. It’s very unique, high-end camping.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Matthew, 42, proposed to Camila on Christmas Day 2011.

The actor revealed the news himself on his WhoSay account, writing, “just asked camila to marry me, merry Christmas,” along with a photo of the couple kissing in front of a Christmas tree.

The pair began dating in 2006, and have two children together – son Levi, 3, and daughter Vida, 2.
