McAdams, Bale & Bardem Tapped For New Big Screen Romance

Rachel McAdams is about to get romantic with Christian Bale – and Javier Bardem.

The trio, along with actress Olga Kurylenko, has signed on for a new big screen romance drama, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film, directed by Terrence Malick (“The Thin Red Line”), is as of yet untitled.

Production is slated to begin in the fall.

McAdams’ recent credits include “State of Play” and “The Time Traveler’s Wife.” She currently stars opposite Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law in “Sherlock Holmes.” The actress will next be seen in the comedy “Morning Glory,” alongside Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton, scheduled for release in the fall.

Bale had a pair of releases in 2009 with “Public Enemies” and “Terminator Salvation,” the film now known for Bale’s notorious on-set expletive-filled tirade directed at a lighting director who wandered into his frame of view.

The Spanish-born Bardem last appeared on the big screen in 2008’s “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.”

Kurylenko is best known as Bond babe Camille in “Quantum of Solace,” starring Daniel Craig.
