Mel Gibson To Present At Golden Globes

We can’t wait to hear Ricky Gervais’ introduction on this
one!

Mel Gibson will return to the Golden Globes stage as a
presenter during this Sunday’s awards show, the Globes announced on their
official Twitter page.

Olivia Wilde will also present during the
star-studded gala, the Globes also announced.

Gibson – a Globes winner in 1996 for directing “Braveheart”
– has often found himself the butt of Gervais’ Golden Globes jokes over the
years.

“I hope I haven’t offended anyone. It’s not my fault. I
like a drink as much as the next man — unless the next man is Mel
Gibson,” the comedian panned when introducing the actor during the 2010
broadcast.

In 2011, Gervais returned with another Gibson barb,
introducing presenter Scarlett Johansson by saying, “Our first presenter
is beautiful, talented and Jewish apparently. Mel Gibson told me that. He’s
obsessed.”

And in 2012, the last time Gervais hosted, he used his
opening monologue to jab the embattled actor, noting, “I’m not to libel
anyone. And I must not mention Mel Gibson this year.”

It appears Gervais is already primed for the opportunity.

“Too easy, in fact,” he Tweeted late Monday night.

Also announced as presenters were more stars,
including Channing Tatum, Amy Adams, Eddie Redmayne, Jamie Foxx and more!

The 2016 Golden Globes air Sunday, January 10 at 8 PM on
NBC.
