Melissa Rivers On ‘Apprentice’ Firing: ‘I Probably Could Have Handled It… Better’

When Melissa Rivers was fired by Donald Trump on Sunday’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” she let loose a slew of slurs against her teammates, Brande Roderick and Annie Duke.

And it’s something she told Access Hollywood on Monday she regretted.

“I probably could have handled it a little bit better,” Melissa told Access of her outburst, which was captured on camera.

On last night’s show, Melissa lost her cool, blowing off the exit interview after she was fired by Trump.

“I knew going into the boardroom, that if we did not win, it was going to be two on one,” Melissa said of Brande and Annie sticking together and suggesting she should go.

And Melissa’s firing also made history on the show. Just before she was let go, Trump passed a note for the first time in “Apprentice” history to guest boardroom member Jim Kramer, which said he thought Melissa should be fired.

“I noticed it at the time. Do I agree? No!” Melissa said. “Am I gonna argue with Donald? No.”

Melissa’s mother, Joan Rivers, also on the program, let her daughter’s teammates have it as Melissa exited the boardroom, calling Brande a “stupid blonde,” and Annie a “white trash” poker player. She also labeled them “a Nazi and a follower.”

Melissa herself called them “pit vipers,” among other things, but today she told Access she wishes she had used a bigger vocabulary during her elimination.

“I wish that I could have come up with a few more colorful adjectives,” she told Access, smiling.
