‘Melrose Place’s’ Andrew Shue & ‘Today’ Show’s Amy Robach Wed

Former “Melrose Place” star Andrew Shue and NBC’s “Weekend Today” anchor Amy Robach reportedly married over the weekend.

According to People, the couple walked down the aisle on Saturday in New York City.

“It was the most beautiful night in every way,” Andrew, 42, and Amy, 37, told the mag. “Despite snow, high winds, flight and train delays, every guest made it to the night to share our in our new beginning.”

The couple, who met just last April and were engaged in September, walked down the aisle at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers.

“The wedding was absolutely beautiful. Amy and Andrew were beaming,” a “Today” show rep, who attended the ceremony, told the mag. “The decor was simple and there were lots of candles. The guest list was fairly small. They wanted an intimate feel with close friends and family.”
The couple reportedly had 120 guests at the ceremony that included Amy’s NBC colleagues Meredith Vieira, Ann Curry, Kathie Lee Gifford.

As for the bride’s dress, gifts from guests and their cake, the couple broke from tradition.

“Amy even walked across the street from work to Saks [Fifth Avenue] to buy her dress and shoes – off the rack…. instead of a gift, they asked guests to give them their two favorite songs – one dance, one love – and they were played throughout the night,” the “Today” show rep said. “And instead of wedding cake, they’re having a birthday cake.”

The new couple is reportedly headed to Mexico for their honeymoon.
