Michael Bolton Talks Recording With The ‘Amazing’ Lady Gaga

Call him a “little monster” – Michael Bolton loves Lady Gaga.

The “Said I Loved You… But I Lied” singer, who recorded a ballad with Gaga for his May 2010 “One World One Love” album, has revealed his experience with the pop princess was nothing short of “amazing.”

“I love Gaga,” Michael told Access Hollywood, at a “Dancing with the Stars” rehearsal on Monday. “She is amazing and she was this close to me singing riffs for me.”

Michael said that in a world full of auto-tuned artists, Gaga’s vocal abilities are the real deal.

“You never know if a new artist has the skills or if they are created in a laboratory,” he said. “She’s got all of it — she is real.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Lady Gaga fans were shocked last year when it was revealed that the blond songbird co-wrote and recorded a song, “Murder My Heart,” with the soft-rock singer.

“Nobody had heard of her when we wrote [our song],” Michael said. “I was thinking, ‘She is going to have a great launch,’ but nobody I think could predict the enormity of her trajectory. It’s been unbelievable.”

The “Soul Provider” is a vegetarian, but he has no beef with Gaga’s meaty 2010 MTV Video Music Awards ensemble. Though he hadn’t yet seen the fashion icon’s now-infamous dress, Michael said he “wouldn’t mind it.”

“I haven’t eaten meat in 38 years but I wouldn’t mind standing next to her if she was wearing meat,” he said.

“She is gonna shock you… but this is what she does — she creates ideas,” Michael continued. “Gaga is just gonna create her thing and we have to go along for the ride basically.”

Michael begins competing on “Dancing with the Stars” when the show premieres on Monday, Sept. 20 at 8 PM on ABC.
