Michael Douglas’ 16-Year-Old Mrs. Robinson Moment

Michael Douglas is 25 years older than wife Catherine Zeta-Jones – but this isn’t the actor’s first May-December relationship. The 65-year-old actor has revealed his very own Mrs. Robinson moment from his teen years.

“There were a couple friends of my mother’s when I was 16 and they were 30,” Michael told Elle Magazine in the magazine’s May issue. “I wouldn’t want to get any of them in trouble, but they’re probably all dead by now.”

The “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” star also confessed to his own “Fatal Attraction” moment during college.

“I remember a nut job back there in college during those sexually free days of the ’60s when you didn’t have to worry about a whole lot,” he said. ” I remember one woman who’d been pursuing me, and I’d gone back home and was in bed with another lady. At an unbelievably inopportune moment, she popped out of the closet. Let’s just say that took care of the rest of the night.”

The actor joked that incident didn’t escalate to a “Fatal Attraction” finish, but said, “I did change the locks.”

Michael also said in the interview that his father, Kirk Douglas, is an “outrageous flirt” and that he kept his past girlfriends away from the screen legend.

“I wouldn’t even dare bring one home with him around. Look, he’s been happily married for 55 years, so I don’t want to get into this in great depth, but he’s always been an outrageous flirt, and he takes no prisoners,” Michael explained. “In the years before I met Catherine, there were a couple ladies who met him to whom he gave his most impressive showing. But that’s healthy.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, last week, the actor’s son, Cameron Douglas, was sentenced to 60 months in prison plus five years of supervised release, the result of pleading guilty to drug charges.
