Michael Douglas Talks Catherine Zeta-Jones: ‘Very Hopeful That We’re Going To Work Things Out’

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are taking a break, but the Emmy Award winner told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush he’s “very hopeful” that they will be able to repair their relationship.

Before taking home the award for Best Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie Award for HBO’s “Behind The Candelabra,” Douglas opened up to Billy Bush about his wife.

“Catherine is great. She is doing wonderful, talked to her today [and] just got a lovely note from her,” he said. “I’m very hopeful that we’re going to work things out.

“As I said we’re just taking a break, a couple issues, sometimes you gotta do that,” he continued.

On stage after winning his Emmy, the actor said, “I want to thank my wife Catherine for her support,” and also acknowledged their kids, son Dylan and daughter Carys, and also son Cameron, who is serving a near 10-year sentence behind bars.

“And a shout-out to my oldest son Cameron, but hopefully I’ll be able to see him soon,” he added during his speech.
