The movie went through a series of casting ups and downs with Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale both attached to the project at various times.

The Apple founder, who died in 2011, was previously portrayed on the big screen by Ashton Kucther in 2013’s “Jobs,” which was panned my many critics and underperformed at the box office.
