Michael Jackson May Perform “We Are The World” At World Music Awards

(November 8, 2006) ? A source close to Michael Jackson tells Access Hollywood that the superstar will not be performing ?Thriller? at the World Music Awards next week.

Contrary to other widespread reports, he is in talks to perform ?We Are The World? at the end of the show.

The 48-year-old pop star, who has been in Ireland recording new music with Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas, will receive a Diamond Award, given to artists who sell more than 100 million albums, at the November 15th ceremony in London, the Associated Press reports.

Also, contrary to earlier reports, Michael has not met with Roberto Cavalli to design outfits for the World Music Awards. Today in Ireland he is meeting with Cavalli?s team, not Cavalli himself.
