Michael Jackson Settles Pharmacy Lawsuit

LOS ANGELES (January 15, 2007) — A spokeswoman for Michael Jackson says the entertainer has “amicably resolved” a lawsuit filed by a Beverly Hills pharmacy that claimed Jackson owed more than 100-thousand dollars for prescription drugs over the past two years.

Jackson spokeswoman Raymone Bain says Mickey Fine Pharmacy has been paid.

The pharmacy filed suit Wednesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, alleging it had an oral agreement with Jackson to pay for his prescription medications and sent monthly bills that went unpaid by the singer.

The suit says as of December 25th, 2006, Jackson owed more than 100-thousand dollars and had made his last payment in mid-2005.

Bain says the lawsuit related to the administration of Jackson’s finances.
