Michelle Williams grew up with Kelly Rowland and Beyonce as the trio navigated the waters of fame with the success of Destiny’s Child, and now, Michelle is enjoying watching her friends’ journeys into motherhood.
Bey welcomed daughter Blue Ivy nearly three years ago, while Kelly gave birth earlier this month to son Titan Witherspoon, and Michelle said she’s loving playing auntie in the two little ones’ lives.
“I am Titi Michelle. I love their children so much!” Michelle, who is acting as a mentor on Oxygen’s new reality show, “Fix My Choir,” told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Access Hollywood Live on Wednesday.
Kelly has only been a mom for a couple of weeks, but Michelle said she’s already doing a beautiful job raising Titan.
“Kelly’s a great, great mom,” she said, adding that she always expected Kelly to adore motherhood. “Within the first months of meeting her, she was always babysitting, she always had godchildren around, she’d take them places, buy them things. She has much patience.”
With Kelly as Titan’s mom and manager Tim Witherspoon as his dad, Michelle said the baby boy will live up to his strong name.
“He’s got a strong father, strong family – just strong parenting around him,” she said. “He’s gonna be strong.”
Michelle’s new role on “Fix My Choir” has given the singer the opportunity to hear a multitude of choirs – some were music to her ears, and others… were not!
“We worked with one choir where all you had to do was know how to breathe! You didn’t even have to know how to sing, “she laughed.
“Fix My Choir” airs Wednesday at 10 PM on Oxygen.
