Miguel might want to look a little harder before he leaps next time!
During Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards, the singer was treating fans to his hit “Adorn,” when he accidentally took out an audience member.
The singer leapt across the crowd, hoping to land on a platform, but missed and collided with a fan in a move reminiscent of a WWE wrestling match.
Not only did he slam into a woman named Khyati, he came down hard on her head with his leg – a move the some of his Twitter fans are now referring to “The Leg Drop of Doom.”
“got caught up in the moment, thank goodness Khyati is okay,” the singer Tweeted following the incident.
Adding, “Rockandrollmademedoit”
It wasn’t long before Miguel’s “The Leg Drop of Doom” became an online viral meme.
The singer and Khyati (holding an ice pack on her arm) were reunited backstage following his leap gone wrong, where he told Billboard “I’m very happy to bring my new friend, Khyati, we just met. Unfortunately, we did not meet under the best circumstances, but I think we’re okay.”
