Miley Cyrus, J.R. Martinez Among Presenters At First American Giving Awards

Miley Cyrus, Terrence Howard, “Dancing With The Stars” winner J.R. Martinez, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Gabrielle Union and Miss USA Alyssa Campanella are set to present at the first-ever American Giving Awards (AGAs) Presented by Chase airing on Saturday, December 10.

Hosted by 22-time Emmy Award-winner Bob Costas, the AGAs will be broadcast on NBC at 8:00p.m. to 10:00p.m./ET from the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles.

The AGAs are the first-ever televised celebrity tribute to community heroes, offering five charities an opportunity to share in $2 million in Chase grants so they may continue their work in helping others. From December 1 through December 8, Facebook fans of Chase Community Giving (CCG) and Chase online customers will determine how much each charity will receive by voting for their favorite featured charity online. The winning charity will receive a $1 million grant from Chase, the runner-up will be granted $500,000, a third organization will receive a $250,000 grant and two will be given $125,000 grants. The charity receiving the $1 million grand prize will be revealed during the television broadcast.

During the broadcast produced by dick clark productions and Intersport, these stars will be joined by exciting soon-to-be-announced musical acts, who will also lend their voices to honor the local heroes from each AGA finalist.

The finalists to be honored at the AGAs each represent one of the five categories recognizing the “building blocks” of our communities: Educators & Mentors, Champions of Health & Wellness, Heroes & Leaders, Community Builders & Youth Developers.
