Miley Cyrus On How She’d Handle An Interruption From Kanye West

It’s no surprise that Miley Cyrus, who is a close friend of Taylor Swift, is on Team Taylor when it comes to her VMA incident with Kanye West on Sunday – but how would the Disney starlet have handled the situation if it had happen to her?

“I’d tell him to get off the stage,” Miley told Portland, Oregon’s Z-100 in a radio interview on Monday.

“It’s her moment. For those times that you are able to tell your speech, you do it,” Miley continued. “And it’s disrespectful as an artist, and I know he even said his family would not be happy if someone did that to him.”

Miley feels like Kanye interrupted the country star in order to turn the spotlight on himself.

“It’s what he does it for. He does it for press. Don’t feed into it. He’s gonna get what he wants by getting to be in tabloids because of that,” Miley said.

The starlet also questioned the motivation behind Kanye’s multiple apologies.

“His apologies are just because he’s getting flak for it,” she said during the interview.

Miley had kinder words for Lady Gaga, who shocked the VMA crowd with multiple strange costumes and an over-the-top blood-filled performance of her hit single, “Paparazzi.”

“That’s why people love her! Because you never know what she’s gonna do and something unique,” Miley said of Gaga. “There’s no one like her. She’s bigger than life. Same thing as Beyonce. That’s why you want to watch them. They’re so unique.”

Following the interruption heard around the world, Kanye apologized multiple times and personally reached out to Taylor on Tuesday. The country star accepted his apology, a rep for the country star confirmed to Access Hollywood.
