Miley Cyrus Responds To Religious Twitter Backlash

Miley Cyrus has responded to Twitter backlash following a post that angered some of her religious followers.

The war of words started last week when the 19-year-old posted a photo with a quote from physicist Lawrence Krauss that read, “You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded, because the elements (carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, all the things that matter for evolution) weren’t created at the beginning of time. They were created in stars. So forget Jesus. Stars died so you can live.”

Following her Tweet, many of Miley’s fans criticized her post, with some even suggesting that she go to hell.

Miley responded to her critics, writing, “How can people take the love out of science and bring hate into religion so easily?”

Followed by another Tweet, “It makes me sad to think the world is this way. Like Einstein says ‘Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind.’”

Miley’s Twitter woes appear to have passed, with her latest Tweet to fellow young star Lucy Hale having a lighter tone.
“Your adorbs and I heart you!” Miley wrote to the “Pretty Little Liars” actress.
