Mariska Hargitay is closing the case on Mischa Barton rumors.

The “Law & Order: SVU” star called reports that the former “The Beautiful Life: TBL” was unprofessional while filming the NBC drama on Monday in New York “fiction.”

Mischa Barton Sued Over $7,000-A-Month NYC Rent

Mischa Barton’s landlord says the actress is refusing to pay rent on her $7,000-a-month apartment in New York City. Landlord M.R.A. Realties Inc. says in a lawsuit that Barton rebuffed efforts to collect the last three months’ worth of rent on her flat in the trendy Tribeca neighborhood.

Barton’s representatives had no immediate response. The landlord wants Barton to pay the rent and legal fees.

In fact, she says, the best was yet to come.

Mischa Barton’s “The Beautiful Life: TBL” may be over, but the star said she’s already looking at new projects following the cancellation of The CW freshman series.

“There’s a bunch of projects I always wanted to make, so I’m going back to thinking about things again,” she told the New York Post. “I just started looking at films.”

Now that Mischa Barton is back to work, it appears she’s gotten used to her new surroundings quite nicely.

While in New York City shooting her new CW show, “The Beautiful Life,” which is set to premiere this fall, the actress took time to hit up her blog to profess her love for the Big Apple, with a post titled “Loving It Here In NYC!”

Mischa Barton has spoken out for the first time since she was hospitalized in Los Angeles in July and held under an involuntary psychiatric hold.

The actress, who stars this fall on The CW’s “The Beautiful Life,” addressed her hospitalization at LA’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in a new interview with Time Out New York.
