Model Petra Nemcova is engaged.
Almost seven years after tragically losing her former fiancé, photographer Simon Atlee, in the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the 31-year-old beauty has found love again and is engaged to British actor Jamie Belman.
“Petra and Jamie are delighted to announce their engagement after a whirlwind eight month romance,” a rep for the model told People.
Introduced by mutual friends, the couple reportedly celebrated Christmas together with their families. They have yet to set a date for their impending nuptials, according to the mag.
Petra has previously been linked to “You’re Beautiful” singer James Blunt, as well as actor Sean Penn.
Petra suffered a broken pelvis and internal injuries in Thailand as a result of the tsumani in 2004 that claimed her then-fiance, but she survived by clinging to a palm tree for more than eight hours.
