Modern Family’s Nolan Gould Talks Graduating High School At 13: I’m Moving Onto ‘Community College Courses’

Nolan Gould’s off-screen education is far ahead of that of his not-so-bright “Modern Family” character, Luke Dunphy.

The actor, 13, has already graduated from high school!

“Over the summer, I did a lot of studying and I took an exam and tested out of high school,” Nolan revealed on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” this week. “So, I’m hopefully going to go on and do some online community college courses.”

In addition to his early high school diploma, the actor has an I.Q. of 150 and is a card-carrying member of MENSA.

Despite his academic accomplishments, Nolan said nothing beats being invited to the Emmys as a pre-teen.

“I realized something as I was driving in my limo [heading to the Primetime Emmy Awards in September] — ‘Wait a second! I’m 13! This is my third time at the Emmys. What am I supposed to do with the rest of my life?!’

“It’s all downhill from now,” he added with a laugh.

Catch Nolan on “Modern Family” – Wednesdays at 9/8c on ABC.
