MTV Movie Awards Writer: ‘The Bruno/Eminem Incident Was Staged’

Sacha Baron Cohen’s exposed butt might have accidentally ended up in Eminem’s face Sunday Night at The MTV Movie Award – but according to a writer for the show, that was the plan the whole time.

“Yes, the Bruno/Eminem incident was staged,” Scott Aukerman wrote on his blog. “That’s all anyone wants to talk about, so let’s get it out of the way.”

Sacha, who also punked “American Idol” judge Paula Abdul for his upcoming movie, “Bruno,” descended from the rafters of the Universal Amphitheater wearing a bottom-bearing avian-inspired ensemble to announce the award for Best Male Performance, but he ended up missing the stage and landing on top of the rapper.

“They rehearsed it at dress,” Scott wrote. “And yes, it went as far as it did on the live show then.”

Following their intimate encounter, Eminem stormed out of the theater and was not seen in audience for the rest of the show.
