The follow-up film will reportedly center on a family secret reveal and another wedding that brings the boisterous Greek clan together again, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The first film, based on a one-woman play Nia wrote, went on to earn $241 million at the domestic box office and scored Nia an Oscar nomination for the screenplay. The movie also spawned a TV series, “My Big Fat Greek Life,” which lasted just one season.
