New ‘Targaryen’ ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 2 Poster Unveiled – Dragons Are Coming!

With less than two weeks to go until the Season 2 premiere of “Game of Thrones,” the excitement over the returning drama is heating up, and HBO is adding more fuel to the fire with a brand new poster.

Titled “Targaryen,” the image features a dragon egg, cracking under the heat of the fire. Click HERE to see the full poster.

Fans who watched season 1 know that when Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) entered the funeral pyre of her late husband – Khal Drogo, she emerged naked and with three dragons, which had mysteriously hatched.

A complex series, based on the books from author George R.R. Martin, the network is helping newcomers and returning viewers out with a Viewer’s Guide (Click HERE to check it out).

Access Hollywood recently spoke with several of the Season 2 stars, including Kit Harington, who said Jon Snow’s upcoming journey beyond the wall will be exciting.

“He gets to do some really, kind of crazy, cool stuff in the second season,” Kit told Access.

And he also hinted there will be more of the White Walkers and wildlings, the latter of which he said really enter the drama in Season 2.

“They play a big part of my storyline in the second season. They’re basically free folk or free people who live beyond The Wall and don’t kind of abide [by] any sort of king or realm as it were,” Kit said. “Jon interacts with them a lot in the second season. They’re kind of – I mean, we see Osha in the first season, who, you get a feeling for what the wildings are. They’re very kind of ‘wild,’ as it were.”

Season 2 premieres April 1 at 9 PM on HBO.
