Bethenny Frankel is pregnant.
The “Real Housewives of NYC” star confirmed the news on her Twitter account on Tuesday.
“I’m pregnant,” she wrote.
But revealing the news wasn’t something the natural food chef, who is only two months along, wanted to do.
“I had to be true w u but was unfairly forced to come forward early,” she Tweeted.
Bethenny claims she had to confirm the news publicly after Perez Hilton reported that sources told the celebrity blogger the brunette was pregnant.
But the reality star, who is newly engaged to boyfriend Jason Hoppy, the baby’s father, wasn’t ready to spill the news this early.
“It’s premature to be telling people this,” she told People as she held back tears.
Most women refrain from announcing baby news until after the first trimester and Bethenny, 38, was hoping to follow that plan.
“I haven’t even gone through my first trimester,” she told the mag. “We haven’t even heard the heartbeat. My [fiance’s] parents didn’t even know.”
The child will be the first for Bethenny and she is still worried about what could happen.
“I am praying everything is OK, but I don’t know that yet,” she said.
Still, she and Hoppy are “both so excited” over the news.
