Nick Cannon Dishes On Mariah’s Pregnancy — Diapers, Discipline & That Pesky Twins Rumor

Seven weeks after Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey announced they were expecting to Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush, the “America’s Got Talent” host stopped by Access Hollywood Live to update Billy and Kit Hoover on the “Oh Santa” singer’s pregnancy progress.

“Lots of massages, and lots of pregnancy pillows,” Nick told Billy and Kit, when asked how he’s keeping his lovely wife happy. “That’s my thing right now — just give her a pillow and she’s happy!”

Another way to keep Mariah “happy” is by bringing her fruit — although, the chart-topper sometimes prefers a more sugary treat.

“Most of [her cravings are] really healthy,” Nick told Billy and Kit. “She’s craving a lot of fruit. She sent me out for candy apples one night.

“I don’t know if that still fits in the fruit category, but it was definitely a tough time,” he laughed. “I had to see if there was circus or a carnival in town!”

The charming couple has been plagued by rumors of the possibility of multiple births after Mariah may have slipped up during an interview last month. While Nick didn’t give a definite twin denial, he did say he and his wife are waiting to find out the sex of the baby / babies.

“That [twin] rumor came from an interview Mariah did where she was talking about her Christmas album and how she’s been singing so much, and she referred to her stomach as ‘they,” Nick told Billy and Kit. “She said, like, ‘I hope they don’t hate Christmas.’ From there we heard all of these twin rumors.

“But we want to be surprised,” he continued. “We were told that it’s going be one of the biggest surprises of your lifetime to see what the sex of the baby is, so, we’re trying to wait. But you never know.”

As for who will be the Carey-Cannon household disciplinarian, Nick said he would most likely be the enforcer.

“I think I’ll probably be the strictest parent,” Nick said. “I come from a very religious, strict family. You know, that school of thinking — ‘Spare the rod, spoil the child.’ I got a lot of spankings as a kid. I’m probably going to be the disciplinarian in the family.”

The 30-year-old star isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty, either. When it comes to diaper duty, the future daddy said he’s got it under control.

“I grew up in a house full of babies, so I’ve changed diapers all my life,” Nick told Billy and Kit. “I’m used to it! I can handle that.”
