Nick Cannon Dodges Mariah Carey Baby Rumors

After photos surfaced over the weekend of Mariah Carey looking as though she might be sporting a baby bump, husband Nick Cannon addressed the rumors on his radio show on Monday.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it time and time again – when my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it directly from her,” Nick told his guest Perez Hilton on New York’s 92.3 FM.

“We all know it’s extremely personal, and it is for a woman to deal with things with her body, and especially when dealing with the idea of childbirth and all that stuff,” Nick continued.

“That’s something you want to keep near and dear and as close to you as you possibly can, until you’re 100% sure, in any situation,” he explained. “There’s a certain time limit you’re supposed to wait before you can actually officially say that you are and all that stuff… you don’t want to mislead anybody.”

As for the couple’s plan if and when their family were to expand, Nick said they would “strategically plan it out properly” and that they didn’t want any “media hoopla.”

In June when pregnancy rumors first swirled about Mariah, Nick Tweeted, “If & when my wife is ready to make ANY announcements about private matters she will do it personally.”
