Nick Cannon & Mariah Carey’s Twins Released From Hospital; New Dad Says Leaving Twins For Work Is Extremely ‘Tough’

“Dem Babies” are home!

New daddy Nick Cannon says his newborn twins — Moroccan and Monroe — with wife Mariah Carey, have been released from the hospital and are now at home with their proud parents.

“My twins came home [today],” Nick told Access Hollywood at the KIIS FM Wango Tango concert – for which he acted as DJ – in Los Angeles on Saturday night. “I didn’t even want to leave, but I had to because I’ve got to be here.

“It’s the first day to have my children at home, so I’ve been loving that,” he added with a grin.

Nick said leaving his family was less than pleasant, and surprisingly, much more difficult than he’d expected.

“This was very tough,” Nick told Access, of leaving the babies for DJ duties. “I didn’t know it was going to be this tough to leave home every time! Like, I left the hospital to go to New York to [do promotion] earlier in the week — that was tough. And then this was tough too! But, I’m dealing with it.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Nick and Mariah had been calling a hospital home since the arrival of their twins on April 30.

Now, the 30-year-old comedian said having the newborns at their permanent home is an entirely new – and sometimes challenging — situation.

“It’s a whole other level now because they’re at home,” he told Access. “There’s no hospital rooms, and there’s no nurses, it’s just us. So, it’s real. It’s a lil’ scary at times, but we’re handling it.”

As for his beautiful wife, Nick says Mariah is looking and feeling “great.”

“She’s up walking around,” he told Access, beaming. “It’s beautiful — she’s mommy!”
