Nicole Kidman Gives Birth To Baby Girl

Nicole Kidman has given birth to a baby girl in Nashville, a publicist for husband Keith Urban said.

“Nicole and Keith Urban are delighted to announce that Nicole Kidman gave birth to a baby girl on Monday morning, July 7, 2008, in the United States. Sunday Rose Kidman Urban weighed 6 pounds, 7.5 ounces. Husband Keith was by Nicole and baby are very well,” the publicist said in a statement e-mailed to The Associated Press.

Proud new father Keith also announced the birth news on his Web site Monday.

“Earlier this morning Nic gave birth to our beautiful baby girl, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban,” he wrote. “We want to thank everybody that has kept us in their thoughts and prayers. We feel very blessed and grateful that we can share this joy with all of you today.”

On Saturday night, the country star hinted about Nicole’s impending birth while onstage with Kenny Chesney at a concert in Nashville, People reported.

“I’m going to dedicate a song to my very, very, very, very, VERY pregnant wife!” Urban told the crowd of nearly 50,000 before treating the crowd to his hit song, “Better Half.”

The couple’s new daughter is Urban’s first child and Kidman’s third.

The actress has two other children, Isabella and Connor, from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise.
