Nicole Scherzinger & British TV Personality Steve Jones To Co-Host Simon Cowell’s ‘The X Factor’

After much speculation, Nicole Scherzinger of The Pussycat Dolls fame and Steve Jones, a British TV personality, will co-host Simon Cowell’s “The X Factor,” FOX has announced.

“These two are going to be great together,” Simon said in a statement released to Access Hollywood on Saturday. “I have always wanted Steve to work with us; I think he is a real star. Nicole is fantastic. I loved working with her on the UK ‘X Factor’ last year. She is gorgeous and super-talented.”

Nicole, 32, a singer/songwriter/dancer who has served as a guest judge on the UK’s “The X Factor,” as well as a judge on NBC’s “The Sing Off,” said she couldn’t be happier about her latest gig.

“I am thrilled to be asked by Simon Cowell to host ‘The X Factor,’” she said in a statement released by FOX. “I loved working alongside Simon on the UK show, and cannot wait to see what he has in store for the U.S. I’m so excited to work with Steve Jones and help discover astounding talent from across the country!”

Nicole’s soon-to-be co-host, Steve Jones, is not yet a household name in America, but is a well-known TV personality across the pond.

“I couldn’t be happier to be coming onto ‘The X Factor,’” Steve said. “The ability to work day in and day out with Simon Cowell is a dream come true. I am honored to have that opportunity and thrilled to be able to share the stage with Nicole Scherzinger, whom I adore.

“I have been approached about working in the States before, but never felt right about those opportunities,” he continued. “But when ‘The X Factor’ came up, I lept at the opportunity.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Nicole and Steve are the latest members of Simon Cowell’s highly publicized “X Factor” team. The pair join super-producer Antonio “L.A.” Reid and British beauty Cheryl Cole, who have been named as judges for the upcoming reality competition.

Simon’s former “American Idol” faux-nemesis Paula Abdul has also reportedly signed on as a judge, according to the Associated Press.

The LA auditions for the show kick off on Sunday, where the fourth judge is expected to be officially revealed.
