Nicole Scherzinger Heads Overseas To Judge UK X Factor

Nearly six months after she was given the boot by “The X Factor” U.S. edition, Nicole Scherzinger has confirmed she’s returning to the UK version of the show as a judge.

“I’m so excited to join the UK ‘X Factor’ family. It’s where I got my start, so it feels great to come full circle,” Nicole Tweeted on Friday. “I can’t wait to see what talent the UK has to offer and to help inspire and bring out the best in these artists.”

Nicole filled in for Dannii Minogue (Kylie Minogue’s younger sister) on “The X Factor” UK back in 2010, when the Australian took time off to give birth to her son.

The Pussycat Doll singer’s presence on the show back then helped bring her stateside, where she judged on the first season of the FOX reality competition, before she was let go from the show alongside fellow judge Paula Abdul and host Steve Jones in January 2012.

The women were replaced by Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.

A new “X Factor” U.S. host has not yet been announced.

As for her new job overseas, Nicole will be judging alongside Gary Barlow (from UK boyband Take That), British singer Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh, a music manager, who recently filled in for Simon Cowell on the stateside edition when Simon was sick.
