Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi ‘Hates’ Looking Like ‘A Freakin’ Alcoholic’; Aims To ‘Turn Out Like Jessica Simpson’

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has watched herself on episodes of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” – just to “get the ratings,” of course! — and she’s none too pleased with the often drunken images she sees.

“If I do something stupid, which is pretty much the whole time, I hate [watching it]. I just hate it,” Snooki told Rolling Stone magazine in an interview for their March 17, 2011, issue. “Obviously, they’re only going to put the good stuff in, and the good stuff is us drunk, so all I’m seeing is me drunk and falling down. That’s how I am when I party.

“But some of the stuff I do is, like, ‘Really, Nicole?’ I look like a freakin’ alcoholic,” she continued. “I’m like, ‘You’re sweating, your makeup is running, you look gross.’”

While “Jersey Shore” has skyrocketed Snooki to fame, the self-proclaimed Princess of Poughkeepsie doesn’t see herself remaining in reality television for much longer – instead, preferring to brand herself like reality stars who’ve come before her.

“When ‘Jersey Shore’ ends, I’m going to do more spin-offs, and if MTV doesn’t want them, another network will,” Snooki told the mag. “What I’d like is to turn out like Jessica Simpson, with her whole brand. She makes millions…

“I’m trying to build an empire, because after this, I cannot get a normal job,” she added. “I mean, how do I go and sit behind a desk? It’s insane. I can’t. I’d like to finish my degree as a vet tech, but just to do that? I mean, what am I going to do?”

Though the cast of “Jersey Shore” films for only two months per year, the pint-sized star said it can feel like a lifetime.

“We can’t have cell phones, TV, radio or the Internet. If the president died, we’d have no idea. There’s no normalcy,” she told the mag. “It’s just like a prison, with cameras. The only time we’re not on camera is when we’re in the shower, and that’s why we all take three-hour showers, just to get away from it.”

Despite the frustration of being under constant surveillance, Snooki said the benefits she’s been afforded by her newfound fame more than make up for “those two months of torture.”

“Look where I am now — opportunities like my own clothing line and my book, which I would never get if I was just a normal person,” Snooki said. “I bought my mom a new BMW, I’m trying to buy my dad a truck. I got myself a BMW to replace my crappy Honda. My grandma was 10 deep in debt, and I paid that off.”
