Nikki Sharp’s New Year’s 5-Day Detox

The New Year is here and
it’s time to (once again) get serious about getting into shape – while still
feeling bloated from the holidays.

Wellness expert Nikki Sharp
stopped by Access Hollywood Live to share recipes from her five-day detox that is sure to
kickstart any New Year’s resolution.

 Spiralized Noodles

  • ¾ zucchini
  • 2 large carrots, peeled
  • 1 small beet, peeled
  • ¼ cup cooked lentils
  • 3 cherry tomatoes, sliced

Dressing:

  • ¼ avocado
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • small handful basil

The sauce is blended and I will add it afterwards.

Bullet Point & Tip: Eat Real Food. The salad has a ton of fiber, which keeps you full and satisfied. The dressing has superfood ingredients of apple cider vinegar and lemon, which reduces bloating immediately.

Sushi Rolls

  • 1 cup cauliflower rice
  • ¼ cup cooked quinoa
  • ¼ cucumber
  • 1 large carrot
  • ¼ red pepper
  • ¼ avocado
  • 1-2 nori seaweed wraps
  • 1 purple cabbage leaf
  • small handful cilantro

Dipping Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon balsamic
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Bullet Point & Tip: Count Colors, Not Calories. Having multiple colors on your plate means you will get all the nutrients you need, which prevents food cravings and keeps your energy levels high.

Love Pancakes

  • 1 cup berries
  • ¼ cup uncooked oats
  • 12 almonds
  • 1 whole egg, or chia seed “egg” replacement
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • small handful chopped mint
