No Jail Time For Cat Cora In DUI Case (Report)

Cat Cora has reportedly avoided serving jail time stemming from her June DUI arrest.

The “Iron Chef” and Food Network star, who rear-ended another vehicle in Santa Barbara, Calif., on June 17, pled no contest to driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher and had her remaining DUI count dropped on Friday, according to TMZ.

Cora, 45, was sentenced to nine months of DUI school and three years probation. She also paid $2,386 in fines, the website reported.

She did receive a 120-day suspended jail sentence, but as long as she fulfills her DUI school and probation requirements, Cora will not spend any time in jail, according to TMZ.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the “Around The World In 80 Plates” co-host was arrested after the driver of a vehicle Cora rear-ended reported to the authorities that the celebrity chef might have been under the influence.

After arriving on the scene, an officer noticed Cora “displayed symptoms of alcohol intoxication,” a release from the City of Santa Barbara read. Cora confirmed she had three bottles of beer before driving.

Two breath samples registered at .20 and .19. After the test, she was given a citation and taken to the city’s Sobering Center.

Cora later issued a statement to Access Hollywood through her rep, saying she had learned a big lesson from her mistake.

“I deeply regret my decision to drive that evening after my designated driver became unavailable,” she said in the statement at the time. “I learned a very important lesson from this experience and take full accountability for my actions. This will never happen again.”
