‘Office’ Star Rainn Wilson To Pen Book For The ‘Soul’

On “The Office,” Dwight Schrute has written the proverbial book on annoying workplace antics.

And now, Rainn Wilson – who plays the “Office” troublemaker – is penning his own novel, albeit on much deeper topics.

Wilson is teaming with Hyperion to release his first book, “Soul Pancake,” the publisher announced in a press release.

“‘Soul Pancake’ will encourage readers to explore life’s big questions, such as we do we dream, what happens after we die, and what work of art has most influenced your life,” the press release stated.

The upcoming book carries the same name as the Web site – SoulPancacke.com – launched by Wilson and a team of editors in January 2009.

“Helping create this book is a dream come true,” Wilson said in the release. “It will give the SoulPancake team a chance to really dig deep into Life’s Big Questions and give the reader a fun, experiential way to interact with the world of thought, feeling, art and the soul. Wait, what’s a ‘book’ again?”

The book is slated for release in Fall 2010.
