‘Once Upon A Time’ Stars Preview 100th Episode, Trip To The Underworld

“Once Upon a Time” returns to ABC on Sunday night, picking up where things left off last fall – with our heroes headed to the Underworld to find Captain Hook.

“The interesting thing about the Underworld is that that is where people go with unfinished business who are no longer alive. So, a lot of characters that we have previously encountered on the show are down there with unfinished business, and some of us are responsible for that unfinished business, so that makes it a little bit complicated,” Jennifer Morrison, who plays Emma Swan, told Access Hollywood at the show’s 100th episode celebration in Vancouver. “So there’s an interesting kind of return to a lot of what we did in the sort of first and second season of returning happy endings, but now in the form of helping people move on, or find resolution with their unfinished business. So, we kind of revisit that version of our heroes, which is a fun thing, and then we also get to see some of these characters that the audiences really loved, and we’ve really loved and revisit those story lines a little bit.”

Sean Maguire, who plays Robin Hood, said he is looking forward to the Underworld story line playing out.

“That, I’m very excited about because we shot some really cool, interesting stuff, and stuff that I don’t think that we’ve sort of seen on the show before” he told Access. ” I just think it’s going to look incredible, so I’m really excited to see how it looks.”

Colin O’Donoghue, who couldn’t dish on where Hook is following the fall finale, said he’s excited about some of the character returns fans will see on Sunday night, including Regina and Zelena’s mother, Cora, Peter Pan and Cruella de Vil.

“What’s wonderful about it is that we’ve Barbara Hershey back, we’ve got… Robbie Kay, we’ve got Victoria Smurfit back, we’ve got all [of] the sort of greatest characters that we’ve had coming back into the show and we’re lucky to have that, so it’s great,” he said.

And the Underworld might even see the return of a character from David’s past.

“It’s possible,” Josh Dallas told Access. “These characters are going to experience a lot of their past and their past is going to come to confront them in the Underworld, so we just might see someone that looks an awful lot like David.”

Rebecca Mader’s Zelena will also be back in the second half of the season.

“I can’t say a lot about what’s coming up for Zelena, ’cause they know where I live and stuff, but there is really good stuff coming up,” Rebecca told Access, making a joke about why she couldn’t give away spoilers.

“I still want to be a mum and I do still want my green bean so you will find out where I am and what my mission is and it’s pretty great,” she said of Zelena and her hopes for Baby Hood.

“Once Upon a Time” returns with its 100th episode on Sunday at 8/7c on ABC.
