Oprah Dishes On Smoking Pot & ‘The Lady Pond’

Oprah Winfrey appeared on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” and the TV icon got very candid on a slew of topics.

During the show’s “Plead the Fifth” segment, host Andy Cohen asked Oprah when the last time she smoked pot was – and it’s been quite a while for the media mogul.

“Uh … 19… 82,” the 59-year-old said.

“Let’s hang out after the show,” Andy joked.

“OK!” she said with laugh. “I hear it’s gotten better.”

Andy also asked about her reaction to “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” co-star Terrence Howard’s comment about her “tig ol’ bitties.”

“It really is OK,” Oprah said. “Because they really are big. The other day I went, ‘God, are y’all getting bigger?’ These are my grandmother’s — she’s with me.”

“Not only does she have a bountiful garden, she has bountiful …” Andy joked.

“Breastseses!” Oprah explained.

The star’s appearance wasn’t all just silly antics, the TV great also spoke about the struggles she had launching her network.
“Nobody was more surprised than I was about that,” she said of OWN’s rough start. “You have to hunker down. There’s no such thing as failure: it’s God telling you to move in another direction… All these years I’ve been telling people to hang in there, to hold on to their dreams, be steadfast in their vision … and I went, ‘Oh, now I get to walk that walk, and not just talk it.’”

Adding, “[The network is] on the rise and making money — and let me just tell you, it’s so much more fun to make money than to lose it.”

Andy also asked Oprah a perennial “WWHL” favorite question, if she has ever taken a dip in “the lady pond,” which appeared to take the interview into an awkward territory.

“No I have not. No. No,” Oprah firmly responded.
