Oprah Sets The Record Straight On Deleted The Butler Sex Scene

Oprah Winfrey helped propel “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” to success at the box office, with the film taking in more than $100 million.

And that’s all despite the big scene that wasn’t in the movie – a rumored sex scene between Oprah and her co-star Terrence Howard!

The buzz around the scene started when Terrence (now, infamously) referenced making out with Oprah and enjoying her “tig ol’ bitties.”

But, despite the candid description, Oprah told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson, it wasn’t exactly all it was made out to be.

“I would not call it sex,” Oprah told Shaun. “And the reason it was not sex is because I would not let Lee take me there. I would not let Lee take us there because, first of all, it was completely out of character, and I thought that Lee was pushing the Oprah envelope and not the Gloria envelope.”

In the film, Terrence plays the neighbor to Oprah’s character, Gloria – and the two share a flirtatious relationship.

Oprah said the director eventually came around and agreed with her point of view.

“[Lee] now agrees with me. I said, ‘Lee, you just want to get me…’ well, I wasn’t going to be naked. But you just want to see me rolling around in the sheets with Terrance. I think Terrence wanted to see it too!” Oprah laughed. “It was my feeling, and I think those who have seen the movie would agree with me, if [Gloria] went all the way, she could never come back.”
