Orange Is The New Black: Uzo Aduba (Crazy Eyes) Promoted To Series Regular

We would throw our pie for her, and it appears Netflix would too.

Uzo Aduba, who brilliantly plays Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren on “Orange Is the New Black,” will be around to stalk her “dandelion” for many episodes to come – the actress has been promoted to series regular for Season 2, Netflix confirms to AccessHollywood.com.

Uzo is the third actress to get bumped from a recurring to regular role for the Netflix original series’ second season.

Taryn Manning (Tiffany “Pennsatucky” Doggett) and Danielle Brooks (Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson) were also promoted in recent weeks.

In related Crazy Eyes news, “OITNB” star Taylor Schilling, who plays Piper Chapman on the prison dramedy, sat down with Bravo’s Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live” on Thursday and answered fan questions about the show.

Taylor – whose character was the apple (or flowering weed?) of Suzanne’s crazy eye until the blonde spurned her poetic advances – cleared up rumors regarding the authenticity of the show’s infamous pee scene, where the big-eyed inmate is seen angrily urinating on the floor in Piper’s sleeping area. Hint: No, Uzo was not actually forced to use the set floor as her restroom for the sake of TV magic.

“That would be a really cruel thing to do to an actress!” Taylor said, laughing, when asked by a “WWHL” caller if Uzo legitimately peed on the floor for the hilariously disturbing scene. “That’s not what we do.

“There’s a whole contraption – she wasn’t peeing!” she added.
