Owen Wilson On Working With The Daunting De Niro: ‘None Of My Lines Came Out’

You talkin’ to me?!?

Screen legend Robert De Niro radiates a notoriously powerful presence – strong enough, in fact, to trip up his “Little Fockers” co-star, Owen Wilson.

“I have a strong memory of the first time I was in the scene with De Niro,” Owen told Access at the “Little Fockers” premiere in New York on Wednesday. “I’m taking [the family] to my house, and showing this like great big house I have and I turn to talk about the house…”

When the “How Do You Know” actor turned around, seeing Robert’s mighty mug threw Owen for a loop.

“I see De Niro’s face,” Owen told Access. “It was the whole cast, but I just kind of froze up when I saw De Niro, and Ben [Stiller] started laughing ‘cause he could see what was happening.

“None of my lines came out — it was just gibberish,” Owen added. “I was like — I had to steel myself for the next takes and [tell myself], ‘You’ve gotta get it together or you’ll get fired!’”

Catch Owen and Robert together on the big screen when “Little Fockers” hits theaters on December 22.

Owen’s other holiday season comedy, “How Do You Know,” hit theaters on Friday.
