‘Pants On The Ground’ Singer Heads To NFL Playoffs With Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings are getting some help keeping their pants up.

Former “American Idol” contestant General Larry Platt, who became a television and Internet sensation in recent weeks following his performance of his original song “Pants on the Ground” on the FOX reality show, has joined the team in New Orleans as they prepare to face off with the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship.

Vikings tight end Visanthe Shiancoe Tweeted a photo of Platt alongside other Vikings players, while tackle Bryant McKinnie Tweeted a link to a YouTube video with the star performing his style anthem for the Vikings players this week.

“He was in our team meeting!” Bryant Tweeted.

Vikings quarterback Brett Favre endorsed the song last week, singing “Pants on the Ground” in the locker room with his teammates after defeating the Dallas Cowboys.

The team takes on the Saints tonight for a shot at the Super Bowl in South Florida, where the winners will play against the Indianapolis Colts. No word yet if the General will join them should they go all the way.
