Patrick Stewart & Ian McKellen Ask To Join Taylor Swift’s Squad

Taylor Swift fans had better start brushing up on their Shakespeare! The pop star might be welcoming her most prestigious squad members yet.

Esteemed British actor Patrick Stewart Tweeted Taylor on Thursday, requesting an invitation for him and fellow “X-Men” star Ian McKellen to join the singer’s entourage.

The “Star Trek” captain and “Lord of the Rings” wizard have each performed dramatic readings of Taylor’s lyrics during recent public appearances. Stewart recited “Blank Space” while taping a guest spot on NPR game show “Ask Me Another,” while McKellen offered his spoken word rendition of “Bad Blood” in a Yahoo! clip posted on Wednesday.

The work apparently inspired the famed pals to branch out their social circle.

“May we join the squad?” Stewart Tweeted, to which the singer gave an enthusiastic response.

“You’ve made my day,” she wrote back, including a sweet picture collage of the knighted thespians. “You two are ULTIMATE Squad Goals.”

Stewart’s full “Ask Me Another” segment will air on Aug. 20 and McKellen’s newest film, “Mr. Holmes,” opens on Friday, July 17.

In the meantime, keep an eye out for the actors on stage with Taylor as her “1989” world tour continues through December.
