Peter Facinelli On ‘Painful’ Divorce From Jennie Garth: She Will ‘Always Be In My Life’

Despite their split after 11 years of marriage, Peter Facinelli says he and Jennie Garth are dealing with their separation and focusing on being parents to their three daughters.

“Jen and I are doing really well,” he said on Wednesday’s “Live! With Kelly,” where he guest co-hosted.

The 38-year-old told Kelly their focus is on their daughters Luca, 14, Lola, 9 and Fiona, 5.

“We’re very dedicated to being great parents,” he said.

Despite holding their heads high, the couple’s split has also taken its toll on “The Twilight Saga” star.

“It’s very painful to break up with somebody,” he said. “It’s even more painful when it’s played out in the media.”

Last month, Jennie stopped by Access Hollywood Live, where she spoke about the split.

“We’re doing great,” she told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover at the time, explaining that she “had no idea” a divorce was coming when she signed on to do her new CMT series, “Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country.”

“My life is a little hectic right now and my personal life is kind of crazy. This is what I need and what the girls need right now, so it’s perfect,” she said of her new reality series.
