Peter Facinelli & Tom Cruise Among Hollywood’s Worst Vampires?

“The Twilight Saga’s” Peter Facinelli might not be the name that Twi-hards are heard screaming with blood curdling glee – but he’s eclipsed his fanged co-stars when it comes to one distinction…being dubbed “Worst Vampire on Film and TV” by Rolling Stone.

Rolling Stone’s Peter Travers complied lists of Hollywood’s best and worst bloodsuckers and the “Twilight” star came in (un)dead last… but, the actor is keeping his sense of humor about the less-than-stellar honor, an honor that includes a compariosn to “Project Runway” Season 1 Runway winner Austin Scarlett.

“YES! I finally came in Number 1 in something!” Peter Tweeted on Wednesday. “Thank you Mr. Travers. As Carlisle is a compassionate humanitarian, and anti-vampire in nature, being the worst Vampire was quite the compliment. Although, you had me at “solid actor”. 🙂 I did find the comparison to Austin Scarlett utterly ridiculous though … He has way better cheek bones.”

Peter’s company on the worst list includes some of Hollywood’s biggest names. Eddie Murphy in “Vampire in Brooklyn,” Gerard Butler in “Dracula 2000,” Kate Beckinsale in “Underworld” and Tom Cruise in “Interview with the Vampire,” rounded out the top five worst Hollywood vamps respectively.

Peter’s “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson only came in at number 10 on the best vampire list, being beat out by “True Blood’s” Alexander Skarsgard in fourth place and “The Vampire Diaries” Ian Somerhalder in third. As for Hollywood’s top vampire, according to Travers, that distinction goes to O.B. (original bloodsucker) Bela Lugosi for 1931’s “Dracula.”
