Pharrell & Shakira Talk Gwen Stefani As ‘Voice’ Coach

Shakira and Pharrell Williams are hollering for joy that the “Hollaback Girl” herself, Gwen Stefani, will be joining Season 7 of “The Voice” as a new coach.

The coaches chatted with Access’ Liz Hernandez backstage at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, where they reacted to the news that Gwen would be getting her own spinning chair.

“I think she’s gonna be terrific as coach. She’s just a cool gal and she’s very smart and she’s a true artist,” Shakira said of Gwen.

Adding, “I think that chair is going to be with the right person.”

Fellow new coach Pharrell told Access he’s glad to have the Orange County native by his side.

“Gwen is like the best of the best. If she’s doing it, I’m doing it!” he said.
