“The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s” Porsha Williams has been released following her battery arrest surrounding a March 27 incident at the Bravo series’ reunion taping.
On Wednesday, Williams’s lawyer told Access Hollywood, “Porsha Williams will be voluntarily appearing for processing at the Fulton County jail in Atlanta, GA tomorrow. We anticipate that she will post a bond and be released shortly thereafter.
“She is charged with one misdemeanor count of simple battery stemming from an incident that occurred during the taping of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ reunion episode. Cast member Kenya Moore sought out the warrant and, although the claim is unfounded, Ms. Williams is fully cooperating with investigators and looks forward to clearing her name,” the statement continued.

Adding, “Furthermore, several cast mates and witnesses report that it was clear that Kenya Moore was undoubtedly the primary aggressor in the incident. Thus, Ms. Williams, who has never been arrested before, intends to contest the pending misdemeanor and is currently pursuing felony charges against Kenya for Aggravated Assault.”
A Fulton County Sheriff’s office spokesperson confirmed to Access that Williams turned herself in at 5:45 PM on Wednesday and was released at 7:15 PM after posting a $2000 bond. The reality star and aspiring singer also had a mug shot taken while in custody.
Williams is scheduled to appear in Fulton County State Court in the near future, with a date to be scheduled.

After a season of feuding, Williams and Moore faced off at the reunion where things got physical. Bravo’s Andy Cohen – who hosted the reunion – recently addressed the incident on his web series “Ask Andy.”
“There was an altercation that took place between Kenya [Moore] and Porsha [Williams], he explained.
“They stood up… I think I stood up pretty quickly. It was such a flash, and it started to escalate,” he continued. “I was trying to prevent it, and a couple other people jumped in too.
To me, it came out of nowhere…The other women felt Kenya provoked her a bit… I was so shocked and surprised. I don’t want that to happen. I think it’s gross. And I think it just totally inappropriate. It’s wrong. It’s not entertaining. It’s just bad.”
Moore has not addressed the incident directly, but posted a cryptic Tweet on Wednesday.
“Who are we to be beautiful, talented, gifted, fabulous? The question is who are we NOT to be. Never shrink who u r 2 make ppl comfortable,” she wrote.
