Pregnant Mariah Carey Makes Precautionary Trip To Hospital After Suffering Early Contractions

_{The singer — who turned 41 on Sunday and is pregnant with twins with husband Nick Cannon — made a precautionary trip to the hospital after experiencing contractions on Saturday night.}

_{“So #dembabies really wanted 2 celebrate w/us/share the anniversary!” Mariah Tweeted early Sunday morning. “I started having contractions last night..went 2 the hospital.}

_{“Finally they said I could come home after they got it under control but..They almost came on 3/27- happy anniversary in deed!!!” she added.}

_{Though the pains were ruled a false alarm, Mimi said she’s more than ready for their big debut.}

_{Meanwhile, Mariah’s hubby took to Twitter earlier this week to express his pre-baby jitters, writing, “I am probably going to faint in the delivery room! I need to man up!” on Thursday.}

Photos from the shower were featured in Life & Style magazine, showing the two proud parents-to-be posed together on a chair, surrounded by both pink and blue balloons in honor of the newborns they are expecting – a little girl and boy – due in late April, or possibly, early May.}
