President Obama: Anne Hathaway Is ‘Best Thing’ In The Dark Knight Rises

POTUS is a Catwoman fan!

During a fundraiser at the Connecticut home of Harvey Weinstein on Monday night, President Obama praised Anne Hathaway’s portrayal of Catwoman/Selina Kyle in “The Dark Knight Rises.”

“She’s spectacular. I got a chance to see Batman, and she was the best thing in it,” Obama said of the actress. “That’s just my personal opinion.”

Anne, who attended the fundraiser for the President, smiled and laughed following his remarks.

The commander-in-chief’s compliments didn’t stop with Anne, Obama also mentioned HBO’s “The Newsroom” writer/creator Aaron Sorkin, who was also on hand.

“[He] writes the way every Democrat in Washington wished they spoke,” the President said of the Oscar winner.

Jerry Springer and Vogue fashion maven Anna Wintour were also on hand at the $35,800-per-plate fundraiser on Monday night.
